How do I know whether I need a product or my own solution? +
There's a clear dividing line. What looks almost the same across many companies and hits us just as much, such as time tracking, meetings that produce a result or a view of your own dependencies, we solve once properly and offer as a product, because the same effort shouldn't repeat at every company. Where your process is its own and a standard tool would only bend it out of shape, we advise you or build a tailored solution with you. In practice you notice the difference quickly: the moment you start adapting a product to your particulars, that's usually the sign that your own solution is the more honest route.
What happens if no product fits? +
Then we don't bend anything to fit, because a product that only matches two thirds of the way ends up costing you more time than it saves. Rather than forcing you into a tool that wasn't made for your case, we start from the process you have today and build a solution with you that matches it. And if it turns out your problem is a common one after all, that insight flows back into our products, so the next person with the same need already finds a finished tool.
How does a tailored solution work? +
It always starts from the status quo, from what you do today, not from a drawing-board design that ignores your daily work. First we understand the process as it really runs, including the detours that crept in over time. With new technical options it's then streamlined, extended by a missing step or sometimes dissolved entirely, because there's a better way to the goal. The result has to prove itself against your goal, not against how much technology we managed to fit in.
Does a product replace the guidance, or the other way around? +
No, the two work together rather than replacing each other. A product carries the recurring part on its own and simply runs along in your day, without needing us for it. Our main business stays the guidance, and when you want to go further at some point, we look at it as a tandem with you and explain the why behind the what, instead of leaving you alone with the tool. You decide how much guidance you want, because the product works on its own too.
What's in it for me that you use the products yourselves? +
Whatever is annoying in daily use, we notice first, because it hits us before it hits you. The products grew out of our own need, not as a second business beside the guidance, and we work with them every day. That way improvements come from real operation, not from a roadmap meeting far from the point. For you it means a tool maintained by people who have the same problem you do, one that aligns with reality rather than with a feature list.
What does "along ISO 27001" mean for me? +
ISO 27001 is the most widely used standard for an ISMS, an information security management system. It isn't a one-off tick box but a structured way of handling risk: who may access what, how data is protected, what happens in an incident, and how all of it is reviewed regularly. For you it means security here doesn't depend on someone's day or on luck, but is a fixed part of how we operate. When you hand your data to someone, you want to focus on your business and not worry about that data, and that's exactly what the standard is for.
What happens to my data? +
We collect only what a feature genuinely needs, and it shows in the products: Grounds Up, for instance, runs entirely without an email sign-up, because a meeting that produces a result doesn't require an account. Beyond the ISO 27001 principles above, that means in practice we don't push you into an account where none is needed, and we build no trail across service boundaries. Your content is yours, serves the purpose you enter it for, and isn't quietly turned into a profile or passed on to third parties.
